How to join

Pick what you play on.

Phone or tablet

  1. Open Minecraft and tap Play.
  2. Go to the Servers tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Add Server.
  3. Fill it in:
    Server name
    Anything you like
    Address
    mc.camtheyam.com
    Port
    19132
  4. Tap Save, then tap the server in your list to join. Next time it'll already be there.

Windows PC

Use Minecraft for Windows, the version from the Microsoft Store or Xbox app. Java Edition can't join this server.

  1. Open Minecraft and click Play.
  2. Go to the Servers tab, scroll to the bottom and click Add Server.
  3. Fill it in:
    Server name
    Anything you like
    Address
    mc.camtheyam.com
    Port
    19132
  4. Click Save, then click the server in your list to join.

Xbox

Consoles don't have an Add Server button, so use one of these two ways in.

Join a friend who's already on

Quickest if someone's playing. You need to be friends with them in Minecraft.

  1. A friend on a phone or PC joins the server first.
  2. On your Xbox, open Minecraft and go to Play, then the Friends tab.
  3. Pick their game from the list and join.

Use BedrockConnect (works any time)

A one-time settings change that unlocks a server list.

  1. Go to SettingsGeneralNetwork settingsAdvanced settingsDNS settingsManual.
  2. Enter these:
    Primary DNS
    104.238.130.180
    Secondary DNS
    8.8.8.8
  3. Open Minecraft, go to Play › Servers, and join one of the featured servers: The Hive, Mineville, Lifeboat, Enchanted or Galaxite.
  4. A server list opens instead. Choose to connect to a server and enter mc.camtheyam.com with port 19132. You can save it there for next time.

BedrockConnect is a free community tool, not part of Minecraft. To undo it, set DNS back to Automatic.

PlayStation

Crownfall

A turn-based text adventure for while the server's off. Make a character and it's saved here, so you can pick it up again on any device.

Good to know

  • If the light is red, the server is off. Ask Cam to switch it on.
  • The light can take a few minutes to catch up after the server starts or stops.
  • It restarts around 4 AM Eastern to install updates, so it may be down for a few minutes then.
  • Keep Minecraft updated. The server updates itself, so an older version of the game won't connect.
